Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). They relocated to Oxfordshire at the age of five when she enrolled in the Dragon School. Emma was six years old at the time she decided to make it as an actress. She trained for several years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a partially-time theater school in Oxford in which she learned acting and singing. It was already her turn to perform in a variety of Stagecoach performances as well as in school events by the time she reached the age of ten. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) is the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel was first cast for the first time in 1999. Emma was found by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theatre professor. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were chosen to play three of the leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first appearance in a film was with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. The film set records for opening day and weekend sales, and it was the highest-grossing film of 2001. The film was well-received by people who have read it, along with the performance of three new stars. The popular British paper The Daily Telegraph called her performance admirable. Emma took home the Young Artist Award as the Most Outstanding Young Actress in a Feature Film. Emma was awarded five times for her work in the film.
